ABOUT

OUR
STORY
Imagine the vibrant indie marketplaces found in cities like New York or Paris on weekends—bustling hubs of unique, handcrafted treasures.
At Indie Identity, we’ve translated that distinctive shopping experience to the digital world. As an online fashion retailer, we offer high-quality, ethically crafted apparel from independent brands. Our mission is to foster a supportive community that empowers designers and creatives, encouraging authentic self-expression.
Founded in Miami, FL in 2024 by Lara Estrada Tomenchok, an environmental engineer and model, Indie Identity was born from her vision to bring together independent designers who share her passion for empowerment and sustainability. What began as a curated collection of bold, visionary brands has grown into a platform featuring slow, ethical fashion from over 25 independent labels—and we’re just getting started.

OUR
MISSION
To provide high quality and ethical clothing that makes you look and feel good :)

SUSTAINABILITY
At Indie Identity, sustainability is at the core of our brand. We believe that fashion and sustainability can coexist and that we can create innovative designs while also being mindful of the environment. Here are some of the ways we prioritize sustainability in our fashion brand:
MATERIALS
We prioritize the use of sustainable and eco-friendly materials in our clothing. We use materials such as organic cotton and recycled polyester to reduce our environmental impact, as well as deadstock and surplus fabrics to reduce waste in the production process.
CONCIOUS DESIGN
We aim to provide designs that are timeless and can be worn for years to come. We believe that quality and durability are key to reducing the environmental impact of fashion.
ETHICAL MANUFACTURING
We only work with factories that meet our standards for fair labor. We prioritize factories that provide fair wages, safe working conditions and respect the rights of workers.
REMADE PROGRAM (COMING SOON)
Our remade programs a selection of upcycled designs and 1 of 1 pieces created from deadstock fabrics or gently used garments. We partner with independent designers to upcycle these fabrics into something new.
Because we host a wide selection of independent designers, each brand may practice sustainability differently. For specifics about each brand, find the “Details” & “About the Brand” section under each item which includes details about the origin of each item.
